GOALS...what are they good for?

Absolutely EVERYTHING! :)



When you are setting your goals here are a few things to think about.

1) Make them specific & measurable.

2) Make them challenging yet realistic.

3) Set both long term & short term goals.
**But don't set too many you become overwhelmed**

4) Develop a strategy to ACHIEVE your goals.

5) Re-evaluate your goals from time to time.

ALWAYS push just beyond your comfort zone to reach that next level.

My Personal 3 Day Shakeology Cleanse



I DID IT!!!
I just finished the 3 day Shakeology Cleanse. I feel amazing! I do feel like I need to warn you...THIS POST MAY CONTAIN TO MUCH INFO...for some of you...mostly the men. :)
But, this is who I am. I get down to the nitty gritty & don't hold back. If you think you can handle it...READ ON!



I didn't pay attention to the calendar when I decided to do the cleanse. Ladies, I think you know what I mean. TIME OF THE MONTH (TOM for short) :P

Today I woke with CRAMPS! UGH! Not on weigh in day!!!

Anyway, lets skip back to DAY 1...
I walked for my exercise & felt amazing all day! But truth be told, I was STARVING when it came to dinner time. My big salad was gone in minutes.

Day 2~ Still feeling SUPER! My boys & I hit the high school track for a short run/walk cardio session. When we got home I hit play with ChaLEAN Extreme (weight training) & finished with Turbo Fire's CORE 20 workout. I felt UNSTOPPABLE! I also was NOT starving today.

Day 3~EXTREMELY SORE from my workouts, took my DOR (day of rest). I felt GREAT all day & had TONS of energy to run my boys around to different appointments & shopping for school supplies. I even had the strength to pass up the mall food court when my boys wanted to get some lunch. It was a great day. Last night got a little hairy when my husband decided to pop some air popped popcorn. UGH. I held strong & GULPED my water! :)


I did do a couple of things differently than what the cleanse calls for. I had fresh veggies instead of fruit for my snacks. Fresh from the garden. YUM!
I also drank my green tea cold. I just like it that way better.


So with it being that time of the month, I weighed in this morning 2 pounds down! While not the 5-8 that some get, it was great for me. Here's why...

I also took my measurements...it's the personal trainer in me. I am DOWN in ALL areas!
Chest-1/2 inch
Waist-1 INCH!!
Poochy low ab area-1/2 inch
Hips-1/2 inch
Thighs-1/2 inch
Calves-1/2 inch

So, if you're counting...that's 2 pounds & 3.5 inches in 3 DAYS!!! 3 DAYS PEOPLE!!!

Plus, it totally erased my normal PRE-TOM symptoms! BLOAT & CRAVINGS being 2 HUGE ones, for me! GONE!!! I really wasn't expecting that. It was a VERY nice surprise. :)


No bloat & I got to feed my CHOCOLATE craving EVERY DAY...3x's a day.

So, that's it. I would call it a successful cleanse. The next time I do it I will be checking the calendar first. LOL!
